Singapore Artist

Michelle Chang

Michelle started painting in 2002. She is self-taught and has developed a unique body of captivating cat-inspired art. Her painting style can be described as “naive”, but Mysh calls her technique “dotting”. The process is therapeutic but the effect, magical. Explosive, vibrant colors coupled with dream-like landscapes make her paintings intensely appealing and charming.

In 2008, 17 of Michelle’s paintings were selected as illustrations in a children’s story book, “A Blue Cat’s Tale”, in an award granted by the National Book Council.

Michelle has had 2 solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions

Purrealism: Eat. Paint. Love. organised by Blue Lotus fine art in March 2012, was Michelle’s second solo exhibition.
