Nadine Caloc
Nadine Sidaoui Caloc, a French- Lebanese artist, graduated with honors from IBA Fine Arts Institute – Lebanese University of Beirut- in 1999, drawing and painting section. She pursued her studies in Paris since 2000 in Art History, then Visual Arts and Aesthetics. She graduated in 2014 from the Sorbonne University of Paris with a PhD degree in Visual Arts, Aesthetics and Art Science, with a very honorable distinction.
Besides her theoretical studies, Nadine had devoted her career to painting and art teaching, she also participated in many exhibitions between 1996 and 2012, between France, the Middle East and China where she spent several years developing new methods in Art education.
Nadine’s art focuses on the human portrait. Nadine’s works invite us to reflect on the permeability between the boundaries of art, ethnology and social sciences, on the question of identity gender, intercultural interaction and methods of communication beyond the language of words.
Nadine has exhibited widely since 1999 in Beirut, Paris, and Shanghai. She is now currently living and working in Singapore
